Help & FAQs

Consultation

What can I expect at my first appointment at Divine Spine?

When you step into our office you will be greeted by a wellness coordinator who will provide you any necessary paperwork for your initial visit. After giving you a tour of our office, you will meet the doctor in our consultation room where you will receive a thourough evaluation of your spine and nervous system. If x-rays are necessary, the doctor will advise and start the imaging. The doctor will then make recommendations for treatment. Generally, you can expect the first appointment to take 30 to 45 minutes.

Why are x-rays important for diagnosis?

After doing a thourough physical exam, our doctors will confirm if x-rays are necessary. We strive to find the root cause of the problem, and x-rays are instrumental in accomplishing this.

If x-rays are taken, will the doctor review them with me?

Yes, the doctor will go over all of your imaging with you in the office and share any findings.

Treatment

How long will it take me to feel better?

Depending on your condition and the severity of the situation, relief may come quickly or may take some time. Many of our patients start feeling relief after a few sessions. Our focus will be on adressing the root cause of your problem, not your symptoms.

Why does Divine Spine use a computerized adjustment system?

After 24 years of practicing chiropractic, Dr. Sawhney has found computerized adjustments to be much more effective and gentle than traditional adjustments. In fact, he is now able to offer patients that have had spinal surgery, have severe osteoporosis, or severe degenerative joint disease, gentle and safe treatment.

Is the computerized adjustment system painful?

Actually, the computerized adjustment system is very comfortable. It feels like a gentle percussion without irritating any of the surrounding tissues.

Is the computerized treatment safe for children?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage having your children checked for any spinal misalignments. We have treated children as young as 2 months old with wonderful results.

Will I receive a treatment on my first visit?

After your consultation/exam, and if it is safe to work with you, absolutely!

Apart from computerized adjustments, what else is included in my treatment plan?

Depending on your condition, we will prescribe specific exercises and stretches to help create strength and stability. We will also do scheduled progress exams to monitor your improvement.
